In early in 2021, Lily Kowalczyk (A18) returned to St. John鈥檚鈥攁fter studying at Syracuse University and working at Johns Hopkins鈥攖o work as a circulation assistant in the Greenfield Library.
As leader of the college Syriac study group, Johnnie senior Joseph Richard (A22) believes the culture of extracurricular study at St. John鈥檚 represents 鈥渢he desire to dig deeper into the possibilities of human thought.鈥�
The Socratic Society, created by St. John鈥檚 tutor Jason Tipton and Naval Academy Instructor John Childress, brings students from both institutions together over the course of the semester to discuss various texts.
Christine Curran (A00) believes that 鈥渨e can each do a part to make the world a better, more loving place.鈥� Since January 2021, she鈥檚 been putting that principle into practice as executive director of the Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP).
Over the summer, an internship with the city of Annapolis helped senior Jessie Tagliani (A22) pursue an interest in urban planning鈥攁 field that she says 鈥渋n some ways 鈥� perfectly corresponds to the interdisciplinary mentality that we have at St. John鈥檚.鈥�
